Champions……World F***ing Champions!! By: Peter Snyder

Wednesday night history was made as Team USA dominated Team Puerto Rico 8-0 in the 2017 WBC Final. Team USA brought home their first ever WBC Championship, with big help from a dominating performance by the cool cat from New York, Marcus Stroman. Not only did Stroman pitch six shutout innings, but he did not allow a hit until the top of the seventh. It was a beautiful display of art, we witnessed our country absolutely obliterate the cocky ball players from Puerto Rico. Coming into this game, Puerto Rico was a perfect 7-0 and felt unstoppable. Led by Fransisco Lindor, Yadier Molina, and Carlos Correa, they were by far the most impressive team thus far in the tournament. The bleached-haired, crazy dancing, cocky sons of B’s were so confident they were going to win that they even set up a parade and ordered t-shirts confirming the win. The Americans had something to say about that, beating them with the one thing they had on their opponent, superior talent. Ian Kinsler opened the scoring, with a 2-run homer in the top of the 3rd, and the flood gates opened shortly after. Feeding off of Stroman’s swagger, USA put up 2 more in the 5th, added another 3 in the 7th, and in the blink of an eye it was 7-0 Americans. They were well on their way to their first WBC title, adding another insurance run in  the 8th, it was time to shut the door. USA closer Luke Gregerson closed the game, and the rest is history. USA are the champions of the world! Last night was ceratainly a proud moment for America. 🇺🇸⚾️️
