Why The Blackhawks Getting Swept Is A Win For America. By: Peter Snyder.

Yes America, you have won! The Chicago Blackhawks who have done nothing but win for the past half decade, have been swept in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. I can not tell you how ecstatic this makes me. I don’t know , maybe it’s because I’m a bitter Flyers fan and they beat us for the Cup in 2010, but seeing them get swept is like opening a present on Christmas Day. These cocky hockey players from the south side of Chicago, thought they were invincible, as they came in as the number one seed in the Western Conference.

Coming into the playoffs and looking at the bracket, I thought it was going to be a Blackhawk, Capital final and I was going to gouge my eyes out watching that series. I still will not get over the moment in 2010 that Patrick Kane’s late goal in game 6 silenced all the Philadelphia hearts including mine. To this day I have not gotten over that moment.  It’s not a Dallas Cowboy or New York Met hate by any means, but I along with many Americans, DESPISE the Blackhawks and seeing them get swept is a big thrusting fist pump for this entire great country .
