History was made this afternoon in Chi-town. For the first time ever in a Major League Baseball game, three players on the same team, in the same day, hit their first career home runs.
The history making day started in the top of the first when Oakland Athletic rookie, Matt Olsen blasted a two run shot off of White Sox pitcher, James Sheilds. It than contined in the second inning when Jaycob Brugman went deep, hitting his first big fly in the show. To cap off the incredible feat, second baseman Franklin Baretto who was making his big leauge debut, homered in the 3rd inning and in a blink of an eye, history was made.
It is very rare that a manager will put three rookies in a lineup as it is, but for them to all hit their first carrer home runs on the same day is someting out of of a movie, you cant make it up. Three rookies, three innings, three first career homers that will go down in the history books forever.
