By definition in the dictionary, a passion is a strong and barely controllable emotion. While that may be true, I believe that it is our own job to define passion ourselves as a society. As an individual, it is essential in life to find something that you are passionate about, and pursue it in life. This passion may keep you out of trouble down the road, or help you find a job in the future. A passion can also be as simple as a little boys passion for his toys. At an early age I found my passion, it was sports. Sports have changed my life. Sports has raised me in a way as I have played sports most of my childhood years. Through sports, I have developed so many great relationships that some, I continue with today. A passion can lead to so many great opportunities and life lessons. For me, I learned how to accept losing through sports and even how to set a goal, and chase it until it is accomplished. There are also passions that you have, that you may not even realize until down the road in life. For me, I found that I was passionate about writing and blogging just last year. It is a passion that I am so grateful I found and if it was not for that discovery, this website would not be a thing. I’ll leave you with a quote by the great Harriet Tubman. She stated that “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
