Joel Embiid Highlights

Don’t look now but the Sixers are over .500 and they’re slowly proving why they are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Joel Embiid had a historic night by putting 46 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists, and 7 blocks in just 35 minutes of play. On top of this, Ben Simmons has contributed a solid 18 points, 10 assists, and 9 rebounds as well. The Sixers are currently 8-6 making this the first time the Sixers were over .500 since 2012 with the leading scorers for being Nick Young and Jason Richardson…yeah.
It seems that the Sixers have come a long way since that time especially in the years of “The Process”. Recently, the Sixers have been on a tear and, even though they’re not winning all of their games, all of their young players are becoming star-studded players that will eventually take over this league. The 76ers have recently signed Robert Covington a 4 year/$62 million contract. In my eyes, this is a steal for the team. Covington is lowkey one of the best Sixer players in the last couple years who has really grown into an amazing player and might even be an all-star in the upcoming years. One thing I really find interesting, is that the Sixers are tearing it up without their #1 draft pick this year, Markelle Fultz. Although Fultz wasn’t the best in his first couple games because he was dealing with an injury, they are still doing fine without him. With this being said, it would be in the team’s best interest to just let him heal fully than to bring him back prematurely. When this team is finally healthy they will be a force to be reckoned with (although they already are) and could definitely give Cleveland a run for their money. I expect this young Sixers team to be above or around .500 for the year which will let them sneak into the playoffs and will be a sight to see for fans of the Philadelphia 76ers. TRUST THE PROCESS.
